Is that a mistake price? I have no clue what these go for but $1,900 seems cheap.

They aren’t megabucks classics, but $ 1900 for a relatively-rust-free semi-runner (probably is just carb crap) is dirt cheap. I mean, finding a car that’s that rust free and mostly runs for under $2000 in this area is not a bad deal, a French Classic for that price is very NP.

Very cool. I love these little cars. They look great in rally/ racer trim

It’s already got a Suzuki badge on the hood and four drivi ng lights... Its a new paint job, some fat tires, and a wrecked GSX-R 1000 away from epic fu n times.

OK, if it’s still there and you are really tempted and come up with the money, that would be an AMAZING thing to have! I love quirky cars, especially Italian, Eastern Bloc, French and Japanese!
The Dauphine is not exactly performance a powerhouse, but unique (rear-engined, rear drive!) and would make a fun weekend cruiser that would turn heads and put a smile on your face! P
arts are still not too hard to get for them online, super simple to work on as there isn’t much to to them, and that one already looks in pretty decent shape!
Hell, I even have a 400+ page PDF of the 1964 Renault Official Workshop Manual for those somewhere in my digital stash.....I think it’s even the English Edition too, not French! Hit me up if you want to see if and I can GDrive link you to it! :D
Keep us apprised! :P

OK if I had a little more money on hand and there wasn’t a virus on hand I would seriously consider a plane trip up north and a long road trip back. Like I really really like rear engined Renaults and that looks great in the pictures. It doesn’t even seem to have rust.
One thing to point out is that the lights mounted on the bumper prevent the spare tire from being removed if I remember correctly.

Do these lights prevent the spare tire from being removed? I also really really really like rear engined Renualts after spotting that Caravelle in a junkyard a while back. Like really really really like them.

Hard to say if they are mounted in place of the spare tire or mounted TO the spare
tire tray thing. I can’t remember if the tire is on a tray that slides out under there, or if there is just a ‘door’cover that pops on to protect the area the tire rests in. I THINK those LEDs are just mounted TO the spare tire ‘door’, so as long as the lights had a quick disconnect, I don’t think they’d prevent the spare tire storag
e well from being used?

Its got no rear seat... I see a perfectly reasonable spare tire shelf.
